This was my first conference and I proposed a motion that all brothers could wear name badges. I was ably supported by a brother who joked about nudist camps! It was passed but thrown out by the membership as a whole. At Croydon circle the brothers threw it out (despite all wearing them!) because it came from the centre. I pointed out that it came from me and my experience in Australia.
