Great  care had gone into preparing for this event. Kevin Ingram arranged for a brother to speak about a decade of our history during the meeting throughout his Presidential Year. Grand President David Taylor made sure that he spoke to all the brothers especially those who were not staying for the dinner. John Woodhouse as Provincial councillor had the honour of vesting David. Everybody attending received an engraved glass and the special booklet for the meeting. Phil Roberts from Ormskirk was a frequent visitor in those days and had proposed the motion that we pray to St Thomas More. Bart Bond came up from Brighton and Bob Hero made a rare appearance. He was a dentist so could not come to meetings but Valerie enjoyed the functions!
